OUTDOOR GRASS VOLLEYBALL INFORMATION
REGULATIONS
- Each tournament will consist of pool play and playoffs
- Each team will play every team in its pool twice, up to 21 points, rally scoring
- Depending on the amount of teams, the top team(s) in each pool will advance to the playoffs
- In playoffs, teams are sorted into a tournament-style bracket according to their rankings during their pool play
- During playoffs, teams will play a best of 3 sets in each round (first 2 sets will be played up to 21 points, and if necessary, a 3rd set will be played
up to 15 points)
- The height of the net will be set at men's height for the men's division, women's height for the women's division, and co-ed's height for the Co-ed
division
RULES
- Players are not allowed to set the first ball over. They can bump set, fist, use the forearm, and even kick the volleyball on the first ball over, but
cannot set with open hands
- A block counts as 1 hit. If the blocking team deflects the ball back to their side, the blocking team will have 2 hits left to get the ball over
- NO TIPPING.
- If the ball is set over the net, the player must direct the ball perpendicular to the direction his/her shoulders are facing
- If a player crosses the center line, play will continue as long as he/she doesn't interfere with opposing players
