Descriptions of each level:
B
This player has little experience in playing outdoor grass volleyball. He/She is familiar with the basics of the game such as setting, passing, and hitting, but is still developing his/her fundamental skills and comfort with the game. This level is also for players who want to learn more about volleyball and to play mainly for fun.

BB
A player placed in the BB level is able to pass, set, and hit more consistently than beginner-level players. He/She displays a more aggressive style of play, has good court coverage, and is developing defensive strategy. This level is for players who still need improvement but want to play competitively.

A
This player has started to perfect the use of power in their hitting, blocking, and serving. Players in the A level can handle a fast paced game and are able to adjust their in-game strategies according to their opponents.

AA/OPEN
The most advanced skill level. This player uses speed, power, and strategy as a major weapons. All types of shots are featured in hitting. Passing and setting are second-nature. Jump serving is the norm. He/She is flawless in all facets of the game and plays at a very consistent and competitive level.
